Floats in the GTA

Hello friends!

Just wondering about what my options are like for getting float training and then the option to rent a float plane out of the GTA... I know there are some options to the north, but if I’m going to drive north for the plane, I might as well drive a bit further to the cottage rather than fly in...

There's pretty much nothing in the GTA as far as I know. I know Georgian Bay Airways doesn't let you rent after you train with them. Not sure about the place in Orillia. Maybe call Cameron Air and see if they can put you in touch with somebody.
