How about the YBW or Vancouver to Toronto leg? I bid $1200.*
Then you can pick up someone there to pay for the rest of the trip.
I'll come home on Greyhound or something.

*Subject to approval from my wife, highly unlikely. No budget for any extra time and fuel needed for going around a storm system to keep closer to schedule.

So from the sound of things, you have a gig out on the East Coast, and in addition to being paid to fly at said gig, you also want someone to fly along with you paying a fair chunk of change to recoup the costs of getting to your paid gig?

Interesting...

Super Decath I've been in was about $180 an hour wet not that long ago, maybe a hair more now...? My math maybe wrong but how is one person paying over 65% the cost of the wet charge a "screaming deal"...? :smt104

Could be fun if you get some aerobatics done though...

Hell if you need someone to ferry your aircraft across the country, I'd be happy to do it - if you pay all expenses for me to do so...

I'll do it for a $1 less than 7ECA. :P
Fuel cost will probably be double or triple because there'll be a Guinness record for how many consecutive Cubans can be done in a row. Coast to Coast and back, should be able to do at least a few 1000 no?

Aren't there two seats in a Decathlon?

Oh wait.... I get it.

I'm stealing this for Chisel Air. It's brilliant. Hell anybody who does ferry flights for a living should steal this idea... imagine how much you could charge someone to ferry a King Air for you or a JET. OMG OMG OMG OMG MULTI JET PIC TIME FOR ONLY 1K AN HOUR!!!!

I don't see what the problem is with this.

It's an aircraft registered with the flight school, the pilot is an instructor if anything really unusual comes up and there may be an opportunity for someone who has always wanted to do such a cross country flight but it didn't make sense for other reasons. If no one wants the opportunity (at all, or for that price), then that's fine, but if someone wants PIC cross country time in a Super Decathlon, maybe this makes sense for them. No one is forcing someone to sign up, but putting the opportunity out there, provided it complies with the CARS, could be a good way to accomplish both parties' goals.

I read it that way and thought the same thing. Bang off your aerobatic, taildragger and XC experience all in one shot. This being AvCanada though, we have to get our digs in and suspect ulterior motives. :P
