Online, on your own time, and very economical.

Yes but....be careful as TC may not accept their letter of recommendation to write your CPAER
Better check with your FTU

Not all offices do. I know from many cases.
Mr Penner knows and has been dealing with this too.
Their online course is excellent but again, if the FTU provides the student with the recommendation letter based on the letter of Harv’s Air then all good.
Some TC offices argue that the letter must come from the FTU providing the commercial training (flight) blah blah blah.
Just saying, make sure your FTU will issue you the letter while they didn’t provide the course.

There is no requirement to do your flight training and your ground school at the same school. Which TC office was it that denied the validity of the Harv's Air letter?

You can go and make the exam without telling your FTU if you have a the recommandation letter from PilotTraining.

The letter of recommandation comes from Harv's Air which is a FTU and is signed by a certified chief instructor (M. Penner). TC is well aware of this website as this is widely used across Canada.

Some people had issues just because the person at the counter wasn't used to this type of letter, but a simple call to the FTU or his supervisor fixed everything.

Go PilotTraining.ca you will gain a lot of time if you're disciplined, and having access to the material 270 days after the enrollment is a very good use for the next steps of your training.

Always good to refer when you have questions, and the search tool helps a lot.
