125 PIC hours required for issuing ATPL.

Post by Pilotrosh »

Greetings of the day to all.

Kindly requesting all to suggest me all diffrent ways to build 125 PIC time towards issuing my ATPL. Also requesting information on any cheapest block time providers in areas like Toronto, brampton, Burlington, Oshawa, London, Hamilton etc...
Thanks a tone in advance.

Warm regards,

Pilotrosh.

Join a gliding club and learn how to soar. Get at least 10 hours of tail wheel time somewhere, and then start towing at the club as well.

You'll never regret joining a gliding club.

You need 100pic x-country time building just for a cpl. I would think anyone with a cpl would have (or be within a couple of) 125?

Get out of the right seat and into the left? Flying circuits and x-c in a 172 isn’t really the type of PIC they had in mind for the ATPL, imho..

Are you saying you only need 125 hours more? Because the ATPL requires 1500 hours total.. not to mention way more than 125 hours PIC.

Thank goodness, I was worried that a pilot might be an ATPL candidate with 125 PIC

I really hope there aren't ATPLs out there flying PX with 125 hours PIC in IMC.

In fact I really hope it is somewhat above 1000 hours PIC, with many of those hours not strictly for getting the license.

This is quite comparable to a certain truck driver in a certain part of SK with very low hours who killed 16 kids in a bus. Technically he was qualified.

The fault lies entirely on Transport Canada. Not the newbies taking advantage.

I have got all requirements towards issuing an ATPL except 125 PIC. Need to get the hours done on any single engine. Currently flying Airbus now.

Thanks all for your kind reply.
