CPL Licence Conversion + Instructor Rating

Hey there,

I've been working in Vancouver for 2 years with a work permit and have an Australian CPL - planning on converting that and gaining an instructor rating.
Seems like Professional Flight Centre in Delta is the best bet to get through this process smoothly; if anyone has a better suggestion that would be appreciated!

I'm mostly interested in finding out which textbooks are best to prepare me to complete the conversion and further instructor rating. I had a great choice of textbooks in Australia so hoping resources are similar here!

Also, I'm open to any tips on the conversion process if any of you guys know about it. I'm hoping that I wouldn't need to get a study permit to start flight training lol

I would make an appointment at the local Transport Canada office and go ask them exactly what is required for the conversion.
Bring along your documentation.

Sharper Edge has a good book. Just be aware that some of the answers in the back are wrong.
