Seneca Aviation program Canceled 2020

Post by OldTracker »

Received a letter from Seneca today.
Quote from letter: Our Program
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Seneca has made the difficult but necessary decision to suspend the Fall 2020 intake of the Honours Bachelor of Aviation Technology program for which you applied.

Please know that Seneca’s most important priority is to the health and safety of our students. COVID-19 restrictions not only affect new incoming students but our current returning students who will face delays in flight training as we proceed with care and caution. The suspension will allow us to implement a robust series of tested safety protocols in accordance with Provincial and Transport Canada directives, new industry best practices, as well as physical distancing measures for all flight students.

A measured and safe return to our campuses will ensure the quality and integrity of our programming remains at the level you expect to receive from Seneca.

New Start Date: September 2021
If you’re still interested in studying in the Honours Bachelor of Aviation Technology at Seneca, we encourage you to reapply for the September 2021 intake through [ontariocolleges.ca?utm_

Oh really?
That's sad for the candidates who made it to the selection process.

So what's going to happen to the students who were accepted for Fall 2020? Will they be able to carry forward their enrollments to the next year?
