When you're holding that mic button down ...

Post by Colonel Sanders »

Telling us all about where you "currently" are,
to the precise tenth of a nautical mile, and all
the many different things you are going to do
in sequence during the rest of the flight, nay
for the rest of your day:

"All conflicting traffic please advise, Pressurized
Cessna Centurion Charlie Foxtrot Uniform Charlie
Kilo on One Two Two Point Eight at Verbal Diarrhea"

PS Going to OSH? Please read the NOTAM and
stop talking.

I think keeping the mic down is a rare occurence. Someone might do this mistake but is rare. Normally many pilots remember to lift the thumb

Actually you'd be surprised, though it's more common with the velcroed PTT where one might trigger it with one of their other fingers when they're white knuckling it around the circuit. So then you get the play by play of the flying circus.
