I just submitted my application this morning and was told I would get an email confirming my application. I still haven't received an email. Does it normally take a while? Or did I do something wrong?
I had the same-never got an email saying application was received. Apparently if you have applied previously, you won’t get an email. When you originally applied, you would have gotten one. Subsequent applications and updated resumes won’t get you the email, that’s how I understand it.
No interview of any kind yet-Fingers crossed. I have been applying steady for years. I believe if you used the same email six years ago, then that would explain your situation.

I have a question about updating my resume. I would like to update my resume from time to time by adding accumulated hours. Perhaps I am missing something, but it's not obvious to me how this is accomplished on the application website. I suppose I could keep submitting new applications as my hours accumulate, but I am thinking there may be a better way than having to continually submit new applications.
Is anyone able to offer any assistance in this regard?
Also, I note in a previous post that an applicant was concerned that he/she had not received an "email shortly" after submitting the application. I submitted an application (2nd application) about one week ago and I have not yet received the email.
Can anyone confirm definitively if I should expect an email, or is it because this is my second application I should not expect to receive an email?
Only way to update your hours on the website it to reapply. You should get a confirmation email when any application is properly submitted, but apparently certain browsers don't work as well as others in making sure they receive it. So if you don't get that email I suggest using Firefox or Google chrome to submit your application.

There’s a course every 3 weeks with 30-40 people for the foreseeable future. They tend not to have many during the summer though.
You will not receive an email to subsequent applications for same email used on the same job ID as per Air Canada’s tech email. This should clear up all the confusion.
