As for fantasy hardly (as I don't wish a repeat of the various bust cycles we've seen over the years), but only time will tell - as the signs are in place that there may be some serious turbulence ahead.
And what signs are those ?

Fake news! Fake news! Right Victory?

Let's see... Gold is running pretty high at the moment. Inverted yield curve on bonds. Declining GDP and growth in numerous nations, including China and Germany. A certain person doing a lot to diminish the reputation/credibility of the Fed Chair whom they will need to rely on if things go South. Declining consumer confidence.

That enough for now?

If you're unable the dates they sent in the email, I'm sure you can ask for another later date in the near future.

I wouldn't delay for too long though. A lot can change.

Bid out today is a big one.

800+ openings with retirements and new duty regs.

120 WB Captain openings.
250 NB Captain openings.

There is going to be a lot of movement.

Good luck, I wouldn't be delaying anything right now if your can help it!

Almost 45% of the NB CA positions vacant are 737 positions. Many vacancies in the 737 FO MAX position as well. Guess these 737 MAX's aren't going anywhere contrary to the speculation of transat coming over with "Neos"

Congrats to all. There will be a lot of movements on this bid. Interesting to see how junior some of the 330 positions will go.

Just curious what the time lines have been like from applying until getting the call for a course?

It varies widely from person to person. As a hapless moron with experience but none of it relevant, I was about a year. I applied, got an interview about six months later, got a call for a course six months after that. Sounds like a lot of time but had I rushed into an express carrier I would spent at least two years there so in the long run it was faster to wait. Just a wild guess but if you have 5000TT+ and are not an asshole there’s probably a place in the queue for you. The stressful part is that there’s no way to look into that crystal ball to see where in line you stand.

I only said “probably” though my face is still a little red. It sucks to get no for an answer, if you really want the job just reapply and take another lap of the process. You wouldn’t be the first to land the job after an earlier PFO.
