Rouge route cancellations.

Post by CanadianPilotQc »

they just announced the cancellation of Nice, France. will be replaced by Mainline metal. I see also an increase in regional flying(yqb-yyg-yyt etc.) . is it safe to say that the future of ROUGE (next 5 years) would be regional? considering the fleet reduction at Jazz ? would make sense.

Rouge seating is great on a 2 hour flight, but painful on a 6 hour flight. I much prefer Rouge over a Q400 on the same stage length.

Would be great to see some up-gauging of regional routes. Sure Jazz might shrink a little, but only for mainline growth (and higher paying jobs).

Could all be max grounding mitigation and I'm completely wrong.

The frame is reallocated to YUL-BOG, which I wouldn't qualify as regional.
