Politicos
Now that the politicking is shut down for a bit, wonder what it would be like as a crew member flying the politicos around from one end to another.

Re: Politicos
It's pretty boring...a lot of time sitting around in the airplane or FBO...have to be ready early so one gets to the airplane much earlier than a normal line flight.
Sometimes you get to see airports and places you don't normally fly to.
Politicians range from nice to boring to you-never-hear-from-them

Re: Politicos
How are flight crews assigned, is it on a bid/seniority basis. Since it(campaign) was 3 weeks and a bit do assignments go out on a “who is interested and sign up “ scenario. To me personally, it would be an interesting type of flying.Lt. Re: Politicos
It's a position that's made available well in advance by memo, and people apply. Then crews are selected, and vetted for the job. I'm assuming including extra background checks and security clearances. It's not like bidding a pairing. It would be more similar to the way JETZ flying used to be where you travel with a team.

Re: Politicos
Extra background checks - wouldn’t want an ardent PPC member/supporter on the JT jet nor a raging socialist Avi Lewis type on the O’Toole machine .loudmouth wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 2:43 pm It's a position that's made available well in advance by memo, and people apply. Re: Politicos
I flew Trudumb on a regular passenger flight before he became dictator and the F/As said he played Candy Crush on his phone the whole time and didn’t speak a word. Not even an um or er.
Let’s Go Brandon
Re: Politicos
Well without his talking points prepared ahead of time he doesn't know how to speak. So that's not surprising.

Re: Politicos
Well, tis apparent the Tool O’Fool wasn’t able to hit a line drive to the outfield and bring in his second and third base runners to give his “ team” a 2-1 win bottom of the 9th. His inability to hit a “Trudump “ cut fastball that caught the “ right” side of the plate cost him the game. That loss methinks will reward O’Fool a “ designated for assignment” spot. The next game starting lineup for his former team will be an interesting watch.
Anyway enough of politics - over and out.
