I noticed two of you looking for a place to stay in YYZ. Were there mostly YYZ spots this groundschool?

Your best bet is hook up with the FA crashpads. I only know some AC FA's but I'm sure you can talk to the Jazz ones and see.

2low,

With all due respect, as believer in one's right to free speech I just want to say that I find your avtar and the link in your post to be absoultely disgusting and in a way consider it to be hate-mongering.

You are entitled to your opinions but I would appreciate it if you would not display them in this public forum.

I agree....you would be the first to complain about a "bible thumper" trying to convert you.....very offensive to some and this is not the place for stuff like that.

I don't have his number anymore but Ken Webb, who is an Air Canada F/O has alot of crashpads in YYZ. All in the same building about a 10 minute bus ride from the airport. You had your own bed as opposed to some where you just take whatever is available when you get there. It was a 3 bedroom place that had bunkbeds in the rooms. I stayed in one and there were several girls that stayed there. There were guys as well so if you are looking for all women then that won't work for you. (the girls did have their own room, just shared common areas) If you do a search on here you may find his number. As well if you have a look on the Alpa site webboard (assuming you are with Jazz) you may find something there. Hope that helps.

I also agree with JazzJetDriver......Please practice what you preach...You want tolerance...then be tolerant and remove your anti-christian link.

So, I am seeing all sorts of requests for crashpads, when you first get hired based out of YZ or UL, do they provide some sort of lodging for you for a while? Or are you on your own to find a place from the start?

I believe the provide hotel and perdiems during your training. Not sure when they kick you out of the nest though. (after PPC? after line check?) maybe one of the new hires can help you out on that one.

After your final line check is complete, you are on your own.

Cheers.

I think Ken has already about 150 customers (pilots, F/As, mechanics from numerous airlines). He charges $160/month. Everyone gets their own personal bed. It's either 2 or 4 per room.

Ask any Air Canada pilot for his home phone number or email address; we all have it.

You dug up a thread that's over 11 years old to post that picture?
