Employer called two weeks after the interview. I waited 7 weeks to the day for the call for the Medical. I know the feeling sitting around waiting! Good luck!!!
$40k is closer to the mark. It was $37.9k and then we got our big 1.5% raise. The company cannot arbitrarily change the salary structure... even for new hires.
Hi guys, fairly new to the site, been reading a lot though. Maybe someone recently hired or interviewed can help here......what method is used for a new hire in determining his entry position and base, i.e EMB F/O, B777RP, etc....? Is it prior experience, company requirement at the time....? And which position is preferred by most? Thanks all...

All new hires go into a paygroup position of EMJ FO or RP on the 340/767/777. Some have gone into FO on the 320 because they were so short but I don't know if that's still going on. The available positions and bases are selected by the new hires in order of seniority once it has been assigned via lottery (literally pulling names out of a hat). I would have to say RP jobs are not the most popular because most people want to actually get their hands on a jet. Prior experience has absolutely nothing to do with it as a rule.

Good luck. You won't regret it.
Oh yes you will!
Please don't mistake this for defending AC's newhire salary, which I certainly don't, but your earlier post about it being 31K is flat wrong and indicates your level of knowledge of Air Canada. So I'm curious what you base your assertion that lvl chg will regret going to AC on?
He's not at AC. Heck, he's not even at Jazz. He's a WJ troll. IOW fucking brainless. Even worse when he gets home from the assembly line and opens the fridge. He drinks alone.
