This is a WAG on my part, but they're still the employees parents, so I don't think anything will change...

I think it's a different story in an employee divorce as regards the ex-partner, though.

They can both use them regardless of marital status.

An employee can have one designate (spouse or otherwise) and two parents or parents-in-law listed at any point in time, they can be changed up to twice a year.

Kids are allowed on Interline travel. The ages and other family member requirements vary from airline to airline. Bear in mind that you may have to split up as a family depending on seat availability. Once you are eligible for Interline travel (after 6 months of employment), you can obtain a login to the Zed Travel system and view the available partner airlines and conditions they apply.

I just got hired for the GSA position at WestJet. Can parents travel on other airlines as soon as you get hired or is there a waiting period?

No. And neither can you. Believe it’s 6 months.

For most airlines on the ZED program , there are no parent benefits. Even the companion rules are all different for various airlines.

When do buddy passes kick in once you're hired? Is it right away or waiting period? Also, Can you bring companions along with you on WS flight? (other than spouse/companion)
