Sometimes I forget to take a breath - but my general point still stands - regardless of negotiations, management has seen that at your current state introducing a ULCC under the WS brand is impossible - at AC they somehow snuck it in there even though most pilots initially went kicking and screaming thanks to the negotiators at ACPA.
If you look at Rouge now - the very marginal benefits are good destinations, and pay / schedule combo that sometimes allows you to make more than mainline and get off reserve. Seems like a win/win to me minus those uniforms.
It's not the death of the industry - just a carbon copy of the south. The faster these companies create seats they cannot fill indefinitely - the faster they drain the talent pool - the sooner they realize they have to pay more. Let them drain the pool please.
