I’m wondering how the sale of WestJet to Onex will affect pilot hiring.
Any thoughts?

Re: How Does Onex Affect Hiring At WJ
It won't until the day of the sale, which is still a ways-a-way considering there is to be a shareholder vote and regulatory approvals to go through.
Deals like this fall through all the time, despite what we saw from the rub-and-tug session the other morning. I'm not saying it won't happen, but I don't blame anyone for taking advantage of selling their shares at $30.50 rather than hoping for $31.00.

Very good point
But the market given its size will start backing away from wj stock once the liquidation begins and that prize will drive down pretty quickly as wj is kinda in a state clearly

The deal is still a long way off, but just as a matter of interest, a friend’s son just got hired into mainline at 23 with 2000 hrs.Fuzzy Bear wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 8:03 pm I’m wondering how the sale of WestJet to Onex will affect pilot hiring.
