An other question...
This is about A/T engage and disengage.
On each throttle handle there is a A/T engage and a A/T disengage...
So my interrogation is... If I engage the A/T on one handle only, will it engage A/T on both handles or only on the handle I engaged?
Also, when on A/T, if I disconnect A/T only on one handle, will it disconnect one or both throttle handles????
I hope this is not a stupid question. I imagine it will interract on both handles but I have no way to insure except to ask here...

Either one of the A/T engage (or G/A) buttons engage BOTH thrust levers. Similarly, pressing one of the A/T disconnect buttons disengages BOTH. A good question and we're enjoying the photos.

BTW, I am still waiting for your visit...
Until now I received only one real 737 pilot... Very difficult for me to find because I leave in Quebec, witch is not the best place to find 737 pilots.... But still confident!

The reason there's 2 of each button is because of depending on which pilot if flying, the throttles are configured so that either pilot(left or right hand) will be able to disengage the autothrottles with their thumb, or engage with an index finger comfortably.

I just want to make sure you understand the button you are calling the A/T engage button. As I understand it, it doesn't engage the autothrottles, it engages the TO/GA mode. The autothrottles are engaged by flipping the A/T switch on the MCP panel. Hope that helps.

System annunciator panels
An other question to make the system working as closed as real one...
This is about "RECALL".
Let say that I have a Warning Caution light illuminated telling me that I have a FUEL problem. If I push on the Warning Caution button it will turn off the "FUEL" annuncement on the "System annunciator panels".
So, before fixing the problem if I push the "RECALL" button, will it illuminate ALL indications on the "System annunciator panels" while pushing on the "RECALL" button to finaly let only the "FUEL" light "ON" or will it illuminate ONLY the "FUEL" ligth while pushing on the RECALL button and once released?
This is not something very very important, but as we are making the programmation, why not do that as close as possible!

correct, but don't call it a 'warning caution', it's the 'master caution'.

Every time you press the RECALL button, it's a light test. All lights on that and the other pilots 'Recall' panel will light up. Any existing fault will remain illuminated after you take your finger off the button. This is why we press RECALL as part of the landing checklist. That way you'll know right away if there's a fault you didn't know about, and you don't want to be landing if there's a fault you haven't dealt with.

I am not a B737 pilot, I fly B1900 and have flown Saab 340. I have also many flying hours as a Flight Engineer on DC8, 747, and L1011's. I operate daily from Montreal to Quebec City, and I am here all day from morning until about 6 in the afternoon. I have picked up an interest in home built simulators, and am presently doing research for a possible project having already added your site to my list of favorites as a future reference. Today I was in the AvCanada forums and started to read the posts in your thread and what a nice surprise to see a link to your site that I had already in my list. I think what you have accomplished deserves high praise indeed.
I cannot help you in terms of the flying characteristics of the 737, and to simulate as real as possible the systems of the 737. As a matter of fact I have more to learn from you, than you from me but I would be grateful if you would allow me the opportunity to visit and fly your sim and perhaps I can help you with any questions that you might still have in terms of flying in general.

Thank you then for your interest. It would be very interesting to be abble to fly together and I think we could learn for each other you and me. The problem would be transport. I explain... I leave at about 45 minutes from the airport. So if you can move by yourself there is no problem at all. But if I should go to take you there and return it means a 3 hours trip... I think the main difficulty is there. But as I said, if you can move by yourself we could certainly arrange some sim sessions...

Hello to all,
I am back after a long period of time.
Although I have not worked very much on the simulator this summer, I still made many improvements, which today is about 80% functional. Among the recent changes there are two FMC's which one is fully functional. In addition, very soon I will have three screens for external view then making landings and takeoffs more realistic and enjoyable.
For the moment only the real radios are missing, that should be added later next winter. Currently they are functional by software on a touch screen, which is still pleasant because there is no need of using mouse..
Then I am back with my search for a real 737 pilot or on any other commercial aircraft, which would be interrested in coming flying the simulator with me. For me the main interest is to learn the real techniques of flight, checklists, procedures etc.
So those who have already contacted me, if the interest is still present let me know, I am now available. For new interrested pilots, just tell me your interest by email or private message here on this forum.
