Religious Cult Measures Growth by Annual Dimming Ritual
An expanding and increasingly popular cult is again conducting a membership poll of their brainwashed followers by taking the ritual annual role call of membership; those signing into the cult answer "present "to the new church by dimming their lights once a year, as a measure of their obedience .

" Turn off the lights for Earth Hour
The illuminated cross on Mount Royal, city buildings and residences across the island will go dark Saturday night as Montreal and the world marks Earth Hour at 8:30 to focus attention on global warming and the need to conserve energy and promote sustainable development.
Citizens and businesses are asked to follow suit and embrace the dark to aid the planet.
Earth Hour started in Sydney, Australia, in 2007 with 2 million participants. Last year, hundreds of millions were estimated to have participated as 4,000 cities in 88 countries switched off. "

Earth Hour is a global event organized by WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature, also known as World Wildlife Fund) and is held on the last Saturday of March.
Like Tammy Fay /Jimmy Bakers PTL , or Robert Tilton -it's a scam*-only immensely larger, as the percentage of the population capable of critical thought and possessing some knowledge of the scientific method seemingly is declining.
The caretakers of the cult membership role call by dimming , the WWF , are going to be well paid for their efforts-and by several orders of magnitude more than the earlier comparatively much smaller and now ceased, hydrocarbon funding from the opposing side:

"WWF hopes to find $60 billion growing on trees
If the world’s largest, richest environmental campaigning group, the WWF – formerly the World Wildlife Fund – announced that it was playing a leading role in a scheme to preserve an area of the Amazon rainforest twice the size of Switzerland, many people might applaud, thinking this was just the kind of cause the WWF was set up to promote.
Amazonia has long been near the top of the list of the world’s environmental cconcerns, not just because it includes easily the largest and most bio-diverse area of rainforest on the planet, but because its billions of trees contain the world’s largest land-based store of CO2 – so any serious threat to the forest can be portrayed as a major contributor to global warming.
If it then emerged, however, that a hidden agenda of the scheme to preserve this chunk of the forest was to allow the WWF and its partners to share the selling of carbon credits worth $60 billion, to enable firms in the industrial world to carry on emitting CO2 just as before, more than a few eyebrows might be raised.
The idea is that credits representing the CO2 locked into this particular area of jungle – so remote that it is not under any threat – should be sold on the international market, allowing thousands of companies in the developed world to buy their way out of having to restrict their carbon emissions. The net effect would simply be to make the WWF and its partners much richer while making no contribution to lowering overall CO2 emissions. ...."

"Do you believe in global warming? That is a religious question. So is the second part: Are you a skeptic or a believer?" said Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor Richard Lindzen, in a speech to about 100 people at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
"Essentially if whatever you are told is alleged to be supported by 'all scientists,' you don't have to understand [the issue] anymore. You simply go back to treating it as a matter of religious belief," Lindzen said.
His speech was titled, "Climate Alarmism: The Misuse of 'Science'" and was sponsored by the free market George C. Marshall Institute. Lindzen is a professor at MIT's Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences.
Once a person becomes a believer of global warming, "you never have to defend this belief except to claim that you are supported by all scientists -- except for a handful of corrupted heretics," Lindzen added..."

" From Papal Indulgences to Carbon Credits: Is Global Warming a Sin?
In a couple of hundred years, historians will be comparing the frenzies over our supposed human contribution to global warming to the tumults at the latter end of the 10th century as the Christian millennium approached. Then, as now, the doomsters identified human sinfulness as the propulsive factor in the planet’s rapid downward slide.
Then as now, a buoyant market throve on fear. The Roman Catholic Church was a bank whose capital was secured by the infinite mercy of Christ, Mary, and the Saints, and so the Pope could sell indulgences, like checks.
The sinners established a line of credit against bad behavior and could go on sinning. Today a world market in “carbon credits” is in formation. Those whose “carbon footprint” is small can sell their surplus carbon credits to others, less virtuous than themselves....
....Devoid of any sustaining scientific basis, carbon trafficking is powered by guilt, credulity, cynicism, and greed, just like the old indulgences, though at least the latter produced beautiful monuments...."

A piece of theatre designed to inconvenience the unwashed masses, while avoiding any real effect on the planet.
When they move earth-hour to a nice mid-week daytime timeslot.... say Tuesday at 1:30pm.... and stop Ontario assembly lines for an hour, shut down Alberta Oil Refineries, halt construction, close down truck traffic....etc., etc.... then I might become interested.
Until then, a bunch of my 99-cent incandescent power-guzzlers will continue emitting electromagnetic energy in the visible spectrum.

Best to stick with the cult that diddles with young boys and tries to cover it up at all cost.

Oh the irony! A guy with a handle that starts with 'Bible' calling out a cult
Say, what's that mountain goat doing up here in the mist?

Yup, the whole thing is a sham...
Companies like West Coast Air are supposedly 'carbon neutral', but I have a feeling there is a little more than just hot air coming out of those eight inch pipes on either side of the nacelles...

Geez did I say that....? Or just think it....?
