It's basically a "government air service" and as such, you'd have to have bull shit up the ying yang!
They're one "chip light" from a mass exodus.

There is definitely a Bond! I believe it's 2 years as well but still a cushy job none the less!

plus everyone supposedly gets a Bose headset, gotta love the never ending tax dollars.

Downside: if you ever want to go somewhere else, you're resume will get thrown in the trash by the HR folks for having a spelling mistake in it.

I don't know who or what your sources are but I'd like to rectify two things about that sentence.

1) There is definitely NO bond.
2) When they still had a bond, it was only 1 year.
but still a cushy job none the less!
I would agree with you on that one. Nothing bad to say about the operation or operator. Ornge is setting a precedent that I hope many other operators will follow.
plus everyone supposedly gets a Bose headset, gotta love the never ending tax dollars.
Again.. I would suggest you verify your sources before you post. Airplanes do come with BOSE headsets installed - STOCK, like any other PC12NG out in the world. Pilots do not own them, nor do they receive their own pair. So don't worry about your tax dollars...

cheers :)

Don't worry about my tax dollars?

Post by Captain Kangaroo »

Granted, most of the posters in this thread had their facts incorrect, but don't worry about my tax dollars?

Dude!

- New Bose Headsets for each Medic
- New Heli Helmets for each Fixed Wing Medic
- The "Uniform Scandal"
- How is your Hydraulic Lift working?

I could go on and on and on...

If the general public even had a sniff of the waste and mismanagement going on at Ornge, the E-Health Scandal would be forgotten in a heartbeat.

Residents of Ontario should DEFINITELY be worried about their tax dollars.

Cheers :o

I didn't really want to start/continue a debate about taxes and what not. I pay mine and I don't complain... you can always move to Quebec if you want a real reason to scream about taxes...

I just wanted to clarify the misconceptions stated at the top of this page, the rest - I really have no answers to.

in the meantime, have a great one, and see you up there :)

No Bond. Get your facts straight before you post. Ornge is a great company with high ambitions and some people are sore they can't get in.

Anything new on the Fruit Front? I hear they are moving to their own building in 2 weeks: 74,000 sq ft of office space...and to think that the Ontario Government used to run Air Ambulance operations with a staff of 5!!

LMAO

Reading these comments about Ornge makes me wonder if they were a private enterprise operation how long would they stay in business with the overhead Ornge has 804wonder?

By the way reading your posts I have a question.
LASTLY I DISCUSS THE RADIAL
SCAN FOR STRAIGHT AND LEVEL FLIGHT.
What is a radial scan, I never heard of it.
