Flight Dispatcher jumpseat privileges
Do Dispatchers at 705 airlines have non-rev Jumpseat privileges for commuting like pilots?

Re: Flight Dispatcher jumpseat privileges
Yes and no. Some airlines may differ, but the general policy across the industry (as far as I've seen) is that dispatchers are legally able to fly in the cockpit (they do for training), but are not offered jumpseat for personal travel.Panama Jack wrote: ↑Tue Oct 12, 2021 1:08 am Do Dispatchers at 705 airlines have non-rev Jumpseat privileges for commuting like pilots?

Re: Flight Dispatcher jumpseat privileges
I've flown with dispatchers in the jumpseat twice. I believe they were required to do a ride along once a year either by TC or by the company, but not sure which. Otherwise I've personally never seen it done, but take that FWIW.
