And, as a corollary, how many AT pilots are overseas this summer on reciprocal wet leases? Numbers and bases please.

Interesting point! They'll come up with something.

None, we have enough work for all of the pilots with our regular flying in the Summer including seven 737. Also, we are not expecting any foreign wet leasing for next Winter.

That is Great!! "NO FOREIGN WET LEASES"
That is good to hear, I was under the impression that Travel Service had signed a multi year contract with Transat for wet leases. According to the above post Apparently not, good to hear guys!

Does AT ever deploy crews or is it a one way relationship?TFTMB heavy wrote:The contract is multi year but Air Transat has the option on the crews every year. That is Great!! "NO FOREIGN WET LEASES"

Thank you Gilles, those are nice pictures.
Is it reciprocal, and will it be going forward? How many wet leases and pilots have come in? How many is AT sending out?

Transat Wet Leased a grand total of two foreign 737s last winter, with I guess around 28 foreign pilots. It was the first time it had done so (except for short term term unplanned wet leases that were contracted for AOG situations).florch wrote:Thank you Gilles, those are nice pictures.

No further such wet leases are planned as far as I know.
Transat has been doing overseas wet-leases since it was founded in the mid to late eighties and has never stopped. Some years we did a lot, others very little. Numbers ? I have not idea. This is more than 20 years worth......
I often heard the old timers speaking of spending weeks in Egypt and France in the eighties.....
