Flightlevels, one thing you didn't figure is that Jetsgo doesn't require a letter of resignation to your old company like Westjet and AC/Jazz allows people on leave/layoff to work at jetsgo.

Let's see... If an MD83 capt. makes 60k (or is it 65K?), I would guess around 45k or 50k for the F100... but that's just a guess...

Not enough anyway! :cry:

I thought the pay scale was going to be the same on both types. Can anybody confirm?

The pay scale is the same for both types. They are hiring direct entry captains into the fokker. Pay is 65 to start, 5 a yr raise. Up to 30 more if you are a training captain and if you want to work 1 or 2 days off per month you can make an extra 15 a yr. 10 bonus if company is doing well.

Flightlevels wrote:Maybe you are right hammer...but a letter is alot cheaper than 30k. If the person has his/her heart in working here, the letter is not an issue, if they want the option to go back somewhere else...we don't want em anyway. all in MHO. hope all is well. FL. :wink:
Well said, Flightlevels!

Now that is CAR’s compliant :shock: . The way I read it you need a few more than 1-2 days off per month!
Requirements for Time Free from Duty
700.19 (1) Subject to subsection (2), an air operator shall provide each flight crew member with the following time free from duty: (Thats ALL Duty)
(a) where the operation is conducted under Subpart 4 or 5 using an aircraft other than a helicopter, one period of at least 36 consecutive hours within each 7 consecutive days or one period of at least 3 consecutive calendar days within each 17 consecutive days;

What he meant was... I if you want to work on 1 or 2 of your DAYS OFF (that might be 8-10 days off a month). Then you get payed extra $.

Thanks for clarifying that. For all those CP, ops managers, training pilots out there that work behind a desk and fly regularly it is all considered not free from duty in TC eyes. You still must show the required time free from ALL duty to be compliant with the CAR’s. Stands to reason to get away from the job and have a life 8) .

If your making 65K on a King Air you must be based in some jurk water hole with one tooth wonders as FA's., not in YUL flying with some Hottie's.
