Found this on Pprune and mention should be made of this fine lady and her husband
Sadly, Lorna deBlicquy died on March 21 at the age of 77 in Beaverton, ON. Besides becoming the country's first female civil aviation inspector, she broke many other gender-dependent barriers in Canadian aviation during an illustrious career. Also, I am reliably informed that she was the first woman (of any nationality) to reach the North Pole.
Many of you on this site will also remember her husband.

Re: Lorna deBlicquy
Lorna was a class act. She was a professional through and through. And what a career and life she had. Fascinating. I really regret not making more of an effort to contact her in recent years.
She will be missed by a whole lot of people. Cheers, Lorna!

The last time I remember seeing Lorna and Dick was in the mid sixties, where have all the years gone?
