Does anyone sell headsets on the weekend

Post by Lostintheclouds »

Need a bluetooth headset for sunday, cant find a headset anywhere in western Canada.

Talked to YVR pilot supply they dont carry them

Yyc pilot supply they're closed

Boundry bay/Edmonton/calgary flight schools. Pitt Medows. They only carry cheap ones. Amazon only can get it here by monday. Is there no way to buy a good headset on short notice?

You say bluetooth headset.
But you don't specify that you need an aviation headset.
Try a truck stop such as Flying J it it's just a bluetooth headset you're looking for
I use a BlueParrot B350-XT and it's great. I'd say it's a good one.
Let me know how you make out.

Might have to compromise and get a "cheap one". Aviation headsets are pretty specialized and not the easiest thing to get in the best of times, let alone on a weekend during a pandemic.

Such a traumatic experience. Like an Air Transat flight in winter stuck an extra 30 minutes on the ground.
Thoughts and...,never mind

I recall 1983, buying my first DC headset, and thinking how fortunate I was to be able to buy a quality product for myself. I was flying with it two days ago, so, in hindsight, yes, I guess it has proven itself to be "cheap" for the great value it has given me for 38 years of flying!

I've used DC's my whole career and will never use anything else.

Everytime my fancy dancy Lightspeed quits - I grab my DC's. Still working, never been repaired, never even had the ear pads replaced. Certainly can't say that for my Lightspeed. It's been warrantied 3 times and does not work with some intercoms (I get random full volume squealing!)

If anyone runs into a similar problem in the future you could go to a Bose store directly. I purchased my A20’s from the Bose store at the Yorkville Mall a number of years ago and walked out with them that day. Albeit they run very low inventory on them back then and not sure what inventory would be like now considering the climate we’re in currently.

I don't think Bose stores exist anywhere anymore.
