I really hope you have some form of reference to back that up.

Sorry if it sounds crusty, but those kind of rumors spread like wild fire on here. Therefore some form of reference should be added to back it up.

Kind of had to happen. Eventually. It's 2015! Time to park the round engines and move out of the Stone Age! I enjoyed DC3s and the like ( you do know you can buy RB67s, right? ) but their time has come.

Looks like they took this action in the interest of public safety.

Looks like TC has grown a pair!
Wonder if those inspectors plan on looking into the eastern region?
Especially in light of the Air Asia results!
Multiple recurrences of failures.....
Some LEVAS by's know what it's all about!

Is this in response to their latest accident in Deline, or something else?

Round engines will no longer be flown when they are no longer economically viable.

A poor safety record could be found in many Canadian operators with all types of a/c.

Hence, drawing a straight line between Buffalo's fleet and their suspension seems pretty stupid. I highly doubt their OC was pulled because they fly DC-3's.

There is no need to operate 705 category airplanes that can't maintain on 1 engine.

Are they still making the TV show. This could be an interesting episode or three.

They are totally capable of single engine flight. Load may have been a factor. Our the prop not feathering may have been a factor. There are turbines out there that will not fly on one if the prop doesn't feather properly.

My question is whether a piston DC 3 cam maintain single engine at MTOW given standard weather... if so it's not really the airplanes fault is it?

With that being said that's a bit of a tread drift. Interested to know what happened.

I believe single engine performance was discussed at great length in both the thread for the DC3 crash in YZF and the C46 crash in Deline.

Enforcement posts more specifics on violations on their site, hopefully when they post the November summary there will be more details on Buffalo.

I hope the guys whose jobs have been affected can be looked after until this is cleared up, or they are successful in finding alternate means to feed their families. It's getting cold up there and heat and electricity are expensive.
