The pilot forgot to check for birds nest in the tail end of the plane, Watch also B17 walk around on You Tube,

actually the gpu's fuel pump was buggered so they hung a jerrycan on a wire to feed it, jerrycan came off lit on fire by gpu end of story. Darryl grenemayer was a hero till I read about it in "finding warbirds" self aggrandizing douche
