Q400 Headset

Post by YYCPilot »

G'day all,

Thinking about buying a new headset, and yes, here we go again; but what are you Q400 guys and gals using and liking?

I've been eyeing up the DC-Pro X ANR, and had a Bose X back in the day so the A20 is an easy short list, but what specifically are you folks using, and enjoying on the Q4?

Thanks in advance for your input.

At some point you will also dead head, so I like this combo:

Bose QC15 which you can get at Costco still.

And the uFly Mike, which has put the QC15 back in production.

Great in the flight deck or back in with the unwashed masses. Just be sure to keep a supply of AAA batteries.

We have Bose A20s in our Qs; some of my friends bring their own Clarity Aloft. I've used a Sennheiser (I think it's the HMEC 26) on occasion and the noise protection isn't really sufficient in the Q, wouldn't recommend those.

Good info; thanks for your feedback, everyone.

If anyone has, or does, use the Pro-X ANR in a Q, I'd still like to hear your thoughts and will keep an eye on this post and my PM's.

Safe flights everyone!
