Isn't the only reason the Cseries is anything more what the arrow was, is beacuase of American orders?

So, what's your point? Americans object to alleged patronage with respect to a foreign government and a foreign manufacturer, but buy the planes anyway? Like I say, is there any reason to give a shit what some of them object to? Or the Brazilians?

One would have to wonder any kick backs were given when Air Canada bought all their Embraer's. I still remember the Airbus scandal.
