GA flying (Barrie area)

Post by dumbbell daddy »

Hey guys,

Airline guy that wants to do a bit of GA flying taking family up ect. Anybody know of an owner selling block time in and around the Barrie area?

Just recently heard about the Borden Flying Club out of Edenvale. Seems like a decent club. Anyone have any personal experience?

Take er easy

Just don't rely on their instruments to work for night-time navigation...

I'll second the Borden Flying Club. I haven't had a chance to start flying with them but their Cardinal is nicely equipped and well cared for, and I believe block time was about $130/hr, which is pretty darn good.

Don't know much about the club, I did look into joining and sat in the aircraft. Pretty clean, but never flew it. They did have a issue with the throttle a few weeks ago? The airport itself is very nice though and well maintained.

Borden Flying Club. Issues that come up with the aircraft are taken care of quickly, Edenvale Aeordrome is a nice place to fly out of, and it's not too far from Barrie to Stayner.
