Planning to go to Yellowknife . . . not to look for a job . . . but because I haven't been before and was curious about putting a pin in the map of one of the 2 last Canadian provinces and territories I haven't visited.
Besides the stuff which is on Trip Advisor, any other suggestions of interesting sights or activities in the Yellowknife area for an aviation enthusiast? Planning for 2-1/2 days (3 nights). Too much? Too little?

Old town is a float-plane haven. (Buffalo) Joe might have his Norseman at the dock. Otherwise, Buffalo Airways base might interest you. The bone-yard is cool - and you can get a cap and T-shirt.
Is Nunavut one of the missing two? Easy flight from YK to CYCO. Walk around for a few hours and meet the locals. Bring DEET!
