CH-146 Griffon activity around Edmonton
Im just 25 mins east of Edmonton and have been noticing a lot of Griffon activity over the last few days. Some singles, some in pairs, they seem to fly pretty low, probably 400 to 600 feet. Usually traveling east to west or vice versa.
Anybody know whats going on?
Are they ferrying from YEG to Cold Lake?

I think they train out of Namao. Could be reservists, or reg forces, not sure what they do specifically.Mick G wrote:Im just 25 mins east of Edmonton and have been noticing a lot of Griffon activity over the last few days. 400'600'
Why are they flying so high?
I swapped a bit of airspace with those dudes overseas. They sure can move those underpowered birds around!

My guess would be transiting between Namao and Wainwright.
