Private-jet glut spurs ‘insane’ bargains for aspiring buyers

The more conservative pace has done little to relieve the glut, creating a buyer’s market for used aircraft. A five-year-old jet sold in 2016 was worth only 56 per cent of its original list price, on average. That’s down from 64 per cent in 2012, according to a report by Jetcraft, a plane broker that expects to close more than 80 deals this year. The value retention was as high as 91 per cent in 2008.

You and my wife are trying to kill me like Ralphie May aren't you? She made a bacon and egg sandwich this morning out of the home made cheese biscuits our daughter made last night for part of Thanks Giving Feast.

Oh my, they were not halal or kosher but so delicious!

The opposite seems to be the case for pistons. Good economy, high demand for aircraft, very few new piston aircraft = shortage + high prices. I could buy a Citation for less than a 182 right now, if someone would maintain and insure it for me.

Ok, I feel some remorse since it looks like I ruined this thread.

Still, if you guys find a plane with a valid Canadian CofA for under $5000, pm me.
