FAA ATPL
Hi
Would anyone know if the conversion test (Canadian to US) is harder than the full test?
We have been offered to write the conversion one since we already have a Canadian ATPL but we are concerned it could be more complex than the full test.
thanks

It's forty questions. Buy a course and succeed.

Don’t forget to spend the usd$7k on the ATP-CTP course to be allowed to sit the exam.
Re: FAA ATPL
Ouch, what happened to the reciprocal agreement. For that price I would just to a type rating down there. You could do a 737 type for that price.

Re: FAA ATPL
The reciprocal agreement is still there, but anyone writing the atp or the atp conversion exam has to do the atp-ctp course. It’s a CRM thing and done in classroom and in a >40,000 sim. A type rating course in itself does not necessarily cover the aspects of a CTP course, it is a separate and standalone course with a few exceptions with 121 carriers that can incorporate into their training. Every ATP in the USA since Aug 31, 2014 has had to do the CTP course unless they wrote the exam in the 24 months preceding that date.
