Logging Co-pilot time, VFR only ops

Post by LegoMan »

Maybe someone on here can direct me in the right direction. What is 'qualified' mean to be able to fly co-pilot on an aircraft under 12,500lbs in a commercial environment. Is a checkout required? Operation is VFR day only.

The AOC specifies the number of crew members, which must then be reflected in the COM. The operation must also have SOPs to operate 2 crew. The qualifications of the crew (like the F/O having a PCC or PPC and the PIC having a PPC) are outlined in CAR 703.88.

And make sure you get a letter/print out in the COM stating they operate the plane two crew, when you send in your paper work for your A's
