I know you didn't ask me, but I hope my company gets at least three of them.
If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself

Looks like a more sleek version of the Japanese ShinMaywa US-2

Well, looks pretty good, China has come a long way.
Canada seems to be going the other way. Oh well, maybe I can teach my kids to make pot metal trinkets or good soup and chicken's feet, so they can make a living in Canada.
How much is it going to cost. Sorry Bombardier, I always loved your machines. Maybe you have a few more masterpieces yet to come.

Yes.., isn't a six foot wave a considerable limitation for ocean rescue work?
Six feet is very high wave action if it is short from top to top.
The further apart the wave height tops are the more doable it becomes as you can land and take off parallel to the wave tops instead of perpendicular to them.

Isnt that the same music they play on Westjet flights now? The passive, anti air rage calming music.

With what I've seen in the auto parts business out of China I would never set foot on one of those!

What do you think of Russian built aircraft Jason?
Re: ....what say you on this Chinese machine?
Eastern Bloc machinery was usually simple enough that the average prole could maintain it, and built like brick shithouse.
Re: ....what say you on this Chinese machine?
I don't have enough experience with Russian manufacturing to comment.

During my time in Africa I got to fly two Russian aircraft a Antonov 10 airplane and a MI-8 helicopter.
They were built like tanks and the MI-8 was a dream to fly.
