How to fly a Spitfire --- Dave Hadfield

Post by Star'Fox »

Great video from inside and outside the Mk IX cockpit, with voice over by Dave Hadfield at the Great Lakes International Airshow in June 2018.

Nice video, but that panel mounted GPS in such a machine really cheapens the whole plane though... Such a shame...

As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

Thanks for sharing, his commentary was insightful. There's a decent sim of it in DCS for anyone that wants to try it.

He didn't. The aircraft is owned by Mike Potter and run by Vintage Wings of Canada. Rough estimate on what the thing is worth: Probably about 3 million.

That really was awesome!

Big thumbs up to Mr. Potter & Mr. Hadfield.

I really appreciate the pilot to pilot narration.

Talk about separating the men from the boys.....or the women from the girls, you get the idea.......

Great lesson of what flying is really all about.

And now, sarcastic as I am, all we now have are the children of the magenta line who could not function without their smartphones

Beautiful job.

Cheers
