Is Top Gun going to glamorize things next year?

Post by mixturerich »

There hasn’t been a true aviation flick of this magnitude in a long time. Basically...are women going to go flocking to pilots again? I mean, if they can’t have a military fighter pilot, the next best thing is a young sharp regional FO living paycheque to paycheque, right?!

I think it’s inevitable that the movie will have some effect, but to what degree, I really don’t know. Anyone’s guess? I want this thread to be really stupid.

Out of curiosity, do you equally think that men will "flock" to female pilots?

I expect viagra sales to go through the roof, when all those 85 year old 3 star generals are going to get young girlfriends because they are so cool in the trailer.

All those poor flight school 172s will be overstressed from students trying to do a four g negative dive.

OK, this is starting well! You can all practice being a wingman until the pattern is full...then it gets dangerous.

Our flight department has already discussed showering together before and after every flight.

If demand matches expectations, we should anticipate a fair number of Cargo planes flying out of Hong Kong loaded with rubber dog shit

Judging from the behaviour I've witnessed at work, they already do.
