Looking for Qikiqtarjuaq weather advice from locals
We are in Iqaluit and possibly looking to go to Qikiqtarjuaq today to leave for Greenland tomorrow. Looking at Windy, there is clag in the Davis Strait in the morning. How likely is this to hang around all day, locking us into Qikiqtarjuaq and how likely is it to burn off?
No facetious comment please about "You need to be cautious in a remote area." "If you are asking this you shouldn't be going" etc. I am well aware of what I am doing and just asking for local advice from knowledgeable people.
Thanks in advance.

from my experience I would hunker down in Frob - looks like a few days of low ceilings and fog on baffin - Nuuk is also foggy but Sondi is good. Be aware of airport hours of operation in Greenland. A mistake could cost you $$

Why would a local person know better than the NOAA supercomputer systems?
You have a low pressure system over the Greenland cost, dissipating today:
Here are the forecast soundings from the GFS model for CYVM for the next period. Draw your own conclusions.

And here's 12Z tomorrow in the middle of the Davis Strait:

Because almost universally local knowledge trumps what some eggheads in a met office thousands of miles away know.
Just look at almost every Amended TAF issued. The locals likely didn’t trust the first one and planned accordingly. I know I do.
