Hi There,
I'm a pilot at a Canadian Airline who's had to take a LoA due to medical reasons.
In my time off I'm hoping to use my time in a meaningful way and am currently looking into flight dispatch opportunities.
I have never had a dispatching job and wrote my FDOPS and FDMET dispatch exams about 11 years ago and am wondering if these are still valid or if I would need to rewrite them.
I can't find anything saying they expire.
Anyone know?
Dispatchers - Do FDOPS/FDMET exams expire?

As far as I know they expire after 2 years. Good thing is they are free to write and being a pilot you will just need a quick refreshment before writing them.

You will have to re write the exams. They expire after 2 years unless you become certifies in a 705 operation as a Dispatcher.
