this looks more and more like a deliberate action.
According to 1 moderator who banned me, Conspiracy theories will not be allowed on Avcanada !

Perhaps after the "accidental" release of a very well altered virus, The CPP decided to take advantage of the "crisis" and , with the help of the WHO, get it spread to western democracies. The CCP are evil and care less about individuals in their own country but I do not think they are not stupid or evil enough to release a virus on their own people and have it spread worldwide !

So China, is in cahoots with all of the nations bordering it - interesting theory. That would be fifteen countries; Russia, North Korea, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Krygyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet (if you want to count it), Burma/Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam.

India and China do not get along particularly well, and a number of other nations are going to have on again off again relationships with China. To say that all these nations are being passed over by the virus is laughable at best, and downright idiotic when one takes even a cursory glance at the FACTS.

I guess "corethatthermal" never got the message about conspiracy theories...

In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them....maybe you can hire The A-Team.

I would be willing to believe that it was accidentally released from a bio lab in China or an individual did it on his own.

But no evidence at this point.

N95 is sufficient for close contact.

Yes, of course you are right ! Playing Russian roulette with a magazine of 20 and 1 bullet added is exactly your level of exposure! N95 is 95% effective, all other conditions being perfect.
The virus is not airborne, the n95 is to prevent any possibility of an aerosolized droplet from entering your nose and mouth.

This is especially crucial when medical attendees are performing aerosol generating procedures or are in close proximity to a virulent patient for extended periods.

You do not need an n95 or p100 if you'd prefer at home. Using a surgical style or cloth mask is acceptable for civilians when out to prevent them from spreading germs unknowingly.

Big key here is to stay home, that will hugely decrease your risk of contracting or spreading the virus.

Don't forget to keep physically active at home too and stay healthy.

Sigh.....How quickly we forget the lessons of history and resort to childish insults. Anyone remember the anthrax letters and how that bio hazard got out of the high security labs. In fact, they are still not 100% sure(at least publicly) and there are varying theories. And it wasn't some everyday person making that stuff at home as it was much too sophisticated anthrax. Look it up, there is precedent.

All it takes is the right person with 'issues'.

The virus is not airborne, the n95 is to prevent any possibility of an aerosolized droplet from entering your nose and mouth.
The virus IS airborne ! The percentage of droplet form to aerosol form is still unknown
One of the challenges facing practitioners, particularly in an enclosed building, is that even large-sized droplets can remain suspended in air for long periods [17]. The reason is that droplets settle out of air onto a surface at a velocity dictated by their mass [17]. If the upward velocity of the air in which they circulate exceeds this velocity, they remain airborne. Hence, droplet aerosols up to 100 μm diameter have been shown to remain suspended in air for prolonged periods when the velocity of air moving throughout a room exceeds the terminal settling velocity of the particle [17].

Another critical variable is the rate at which particles desiccate. Even large, moisture laden droplet particles desiccate rapidly. In his seminal paper, Wells showed that particles begin desiccating immediately upon expulsion into the air and do so rapidly: particles up to 50 μm can desiccate completely within 0.5 seconds [8]. Rapid desiccation is a concern since the smaller and lighter the infectious particle, the longer it will remain airborne. Hence, even when infectious agents are expelled from the respiratory tract in a matrix of mucus and other secretions, causing large, heavy particles, rapid desiccation can lengthen the time they remain airborne (the dried residuals of these large aerosols, termed droplet nuclei, are typically 0.5–12 μm in diameter [17]). Of further concern, very large aerosol particles may initially fall out of the air only to become airborne again once they have desiccated [17].
The N95 may come with 3 different functions A 1 way valve to protect the user, or the valve is reversed to protect everyone else or no valve at all. THE mask is NOT 100% effective. ( Read the warning label like you should read the vaccine label before you inject your child with poisons )
Common sense would dictate that preventing droplet expulsion at its source would be more effectual than trying to stop infection from a mask being bombarded with a combination of droplet AND aerosolized particles along with many surfaces, hands, face etc being the vectors for the disease transmission.
Getting sick from Covid-19 is serious business if you are a frontline worker and most PPE are a JOKE !!!

Yes, of course that way you can infect the whole family and get on EI quicker !
Being in the outdoors AWAY from other people by at least 10 M is in my opinion SAFE !

Tam Tam and Trudeau tell you to stay home because they think you are too stupid to keep your distance and apply sufficient PPE protocol when needed !

Using a surgical style or cloth mask
In 1 sentence, are you implying using a tested 95% efficient mask OR a homemade covering ( with pretty colours of course) that may be below 40% efficiency?

No, I'm just keeping on top of factual information and trying to help people understand what measures are necessary to help "plank" this pandemic.

The whole point is to try and get a vaccine out. I'm sorry you don't believe in that science.

Go do your homework on vaccines for this PARTICULAR virus, you will be disappointed ! IF they could come up with a vaccine with high efficacy rates and no bad side effects, then I will be first in line! I am pro-choice, not anti-vax !
