Yeah I know, I don't have 250k for one of those, or whatever they cost now.

The early 2000 versions look strange but they had a couple concept drawings that looked very promising. Again way outside of affordable.

I'd talk to North Cariboo, or Kenn Borek, and ask them what they do with their old engine pieces. Pay them more than they get from the junk yard and they'd probably sell you what they have left. It might take a while to get enough pieces together to be a full engine.

Were you thinking you can make a running engine? When an engine part is deemed US or BER it is cut or bent so as to make it unable to use again. The last thing anyone wants is these parts ending up in a serviceable engine. The used to send the parts back as is but no more. I heard this story at Pratt once, some operator had a PT6 PT wheel due and sent a replacement wheel to put in. There was no paper with this wheel but the operator wanted it put in. Some old timer at Pratt dug out a book that hadn't been used for years but there was the wheels S.N., removed TX 20yrs ago. The operator had set it on their healing shelf for this time and now wanted it put back in service.
