Airline pilots/flight training cockpit?

Post by Civic »

I know airline pilots are essential service and see that they wear face masks in the cockpit. Can the flight schools adopt face masks between student/instructor in the future? Not trying to force schools to open up but was wondering what you guys think about using masks in flight training ?

Thanks

Face masks in the cockpit are utterly useless. If you spend a few hours with someone in a tiny cockpit, you'll either both be infected or none of you are. Window dressing is what it is.

Don't forget about gloves either, after all you are touching all the same buttons!

Not true. I tested positive while my other colleagues did not.

The recovery rate is like 95%. I would imagine for a category 1 medical holder it approaches 100%. I knocked down double pneumonia in a couple weeks that would have also killed most of the COVID-19 victims. COVID-19 is the least risky part of our jobs.

Everyone is overreacting. And yeah... masks are window dressing. I’m wearing a red bandana at work tomorrow mostly so I don’t get fined... not because I think I will make me or anyone else safe.

Are pilots being required to wear face masks now? I hadn't heard this.
