ADS-B Weather in Canada

Anyone who has flown in the US lately has likely had the benefit of inflight weather data provided by a national ADS-B ground station network.

Transport and Nav Canada have chosen not to build a similar network due to precieved cost.

Well some enterprising individuals have taken upon themselves to do it. There is currently a test station running in Burlington.

The plan is to form a not for profit to manage the network and deal with things like siting and radio licensing.
