Strike
What if everyone gets together and strikes? No more vaccine or PPE that might help them get aid faster.

Re: Strike
What is the point of this thread? Striking to get a vaccine? Striking to avoid a vaccine? Neither makes any sense. Or are we living in Burma? That would make sense. I'm lost.

Re: Strike
Strike - as in, until a bailout comes for the aviation sector. Refuse to provide an essential service until it is recognized as an essential service and given government support as such. I think that's what he's trying to say. We need airlifts but refuse to provide the support necessary to ensure that they exist.
Sure would be nice if he said that though, instead of just trolling.
(yup, I bit on this one, too...)

Re: Strike
Canadians are a complaint bunch. Obeying ridiculous policies is more likely than going against them.
Why can’t flight attendants and pilots get vaccinated yet? I know 5 people under 40 who got vaccinated already. A property manager who has a walk in clinic in his building, a social worker who works from home.
Apparently travel is one of the most at risk industries, airline employees are being treated like a phase 3 vaccine group.

I think that’s an awful lot like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Canada has LOTS of options to fill those few routes with other registrations.shawnthesheep wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 2:18 pm What if everyone gets together and strikes? Re: Strike
As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

Yes what I meant was Canadians are compliant and I’m the complainer.

Re: Strike
I'm going to go the other way and say no. No strike and no bailout. You're pleading with the system that gave you the restrictions to loosen them just for you. Besides, too many in our ranks want the restrictions, so let's have them-All the way. Push to end EI and liquidate the cupboards. You have to fight fire with fire. Nothing says get back to work like hunger.

Re: Strike
I agree, let it sink, I don’t think any airline should get any “bailout”, I say scuttle the fucker. This shite needs a NOW overhaul because it’s not working in Canada. There’s an aweful lot of back end deals at the top of those large companies and airfare to wage ratio makes no sense.ReserveTank wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 7:45 am I'm going to go the other way and say no. That would have about the same effect as everyone holding their breath until the government acted.shawnthesheep wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 2:18 pm What if everyone gets together and strikes? No more vaccine or PPE that might help them get aid faster.
