Is TC permitting CAT 1 holders to take the vaccine without invalidating the medical?

Yup, you can receive any Health Canada approved vaccine without invalidating medical and there is no grounding period after receiving.

Be careful not to get the Astra Zeneca if you hold an FAA certificate. It's not approved by the FDA (yet).
