The newest helo fleet, Sikorsky Cyclones, that replaced the Sea King after decades of political horsing about, looks to be having some possible troubles with tail cracks. As I recall, the EH101, which cost us 500 million in fines when we withdrew from the contract and then ended up buying some anyhow for the SAR fleet, also had cracks in the tail rotors.

Hopefully not too expensive to fix. No idea if they came with any sort of warranty.

Re: More tail troubles for RCAF helicopters
For those of us in the heli world this is a normal day at the office, especially with newer types still teething. LMCO will likely pro rate the parts and issue a repair / inspection / replacement / ASB for said parts. Nothing too surprising heremijbil wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 1:05 pm The newest helo fleet, Sikorsky Cyclones, that replaced the Sea King after decades of political horsing about, looks to be having some possible troubles with tail cracks.
