with 1000 TT, have are you close to having your ATPL exams done?

Flightcraft is always hiring, send them a resume. You might get hired for Flightcraft or maybe Flair.

Victoria is very nice, for a newbie driver you might find a nice small basement room to live in. (room not apt)

2 negative things spring to mind, the island mentality, Ive got mine now cut the bridge so no one else can come over and the Sunshine tax.

Damn Straight...busy, busy, busy, pretty soon it'll be a suburb of Vancouver - who needs that crap? As the bumper sticker says: "Slow down, this isn't the mainland!"

On topic: Stick with VR, there are way more companies to work for there, and not much going on in YJ.

Sorry, but I say get the hell out of the Lower Mainland! Head East (or North) for a few years with the goal of ending back in the 'couve one day.

I did all of my flight training in the Lower Mainland and didn't drop-off a single resume there. just packed my car and drove North East!

I looked at it in two ways, short-term and long-term.

Short-term: When you start-out the first five years or so are a bitch! Mainly because you get paid entry-level wages. So why live in an area where rent is ultra expensive and the cost of living is though the roof.

Long-term: Are you ever going to own property in Vancouver...or Victoria for that matter. A friend of mine just bought a house out there but all he could afford was a crap 1,100 sq foot house in Ladner (next to Boundary Bay)...and he paid $550,000!! To add to the insult he commutes one hour each way to work every day!

Start your career elsewhere, you'll be better off in the long-run!

Sorry PasCo guys, it's just my opinion...
