Quebec City Airshow

Post by oldtimer »

I was looking at AVWEB's picture of the week, which is a weekly feature. The winner was a photographer who got a great shot of "RAF RED ARROW" team who were in Quebec City to celebrate the city's 400th Anniversary.
Were the Red Arrows in town or is that a shot of the Snowbirds?
With the head-on shot, it is hard to tell.

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

Actually, the BA did a very nice formation (2 plane)
high alpha pass at QC. Very impressive.

P.S. Yes, I have seen the BA attempt a formation
loop at an airshow, and had one fall out. To be
fair, I think one of their pilots was sick that day,
so likely someone was doing something that they
hadn't practiced much.

To be fair, I was in at the airshow in Quebec in 2003, and was not really impressed by the US teams. They really sucked!

I liked them both, thunderbirds we're cool. But the red arrows rocked! I have seen the snowbirds a few time and they are good, but mostly the same stuff as last time I saw them. Still great though!

Actually, a team that flies F-18s and can't even do a formation roll sucks, especially Americans, who call themslves Top Guns. I think they are Top Sh*t! Russians rock, but Americans really suck.!

Funny you say that, some actually complained the Snowbird commentators was commenting in French/English (ie Bilingual), not only French like the Red Arrows commentators did....

typical quebec bashing.

If someone said that they are indeed pretty stupid, everybody was quite happy with the snowbird's performance.

And of course the fact that the guy from the red arrows did make an effort to speak very good french was greatly appreciated and showed a lot of class.

the us teams are very good at making noise i'll give you that.

Regardless of whatever the haters say, it was
an awesome show which had more people
in attendance than any other show in Canada.

It doesn't get any better than that!
