Any former Jetsgo pilots getting jobs?

Post by flynbutcher »

Just curious if any JG pilots have found another job since JG folded?

A friend of mine said that a lot had been recalled by Jazz and Air Canada. I'm not sure how many but I think he said 30? He said some passed on the recall and will have to wait till Sept.-Oct.

I'm sorry why would that be BS? We have pilots here that will probably return to Air Canada as well.

My guess is that most of the Jgo folk will head back down the old ladder to their previous employers! Much like what all the CanJet and C3 pilots did in the months following 9/11.

The only catch is that most of these Jgo pilots are seriously in the hole financially. Maybe they won't be able to afford to go back on to a King Air for $40,000 a year...

also, I just heard through the grapevine that a Jgo guy who used to fly for us is coming back in a few weeks for a turbine job. Shite because he will now bump a lower-time guy who was slated for that captain position!

BSX3

I personally now and have flown with some laid off AC overseas. There is no way in hell that any AC pilot on Lay off would have paid to go to Jetsgo.

As for the Jazz guys, the couple I know quit Jazz. I don't think they can just slip back in.....

As I stated that some had been called back they didn't quit that wouldn't be a recall. As for the number I don't know, but Alpha speed has just confirmed what I was told so I guess there is a way in hell that some went to Jetsgo, but since you "personally" know I guess my buddy who ACTUALLY worked there could be wrong.

Take a leave of absence from Jazz - pay $30000 to work for JG for a couple months - lose job and owe $30000 to bank. What's the word....................DOH!

I'm sorry CAWI maybe I misunderstand what you are stating, but what would that have to do with recalls?

Do you have an interview with us? If so good luck!

I also know a couple Jazz guys who were biding their time at SG waiting for the recall. They didn't like it at SG so they were going to eat the remainder of the loan (less than half in their case) anyway and go back....but thanks for the concern!

I also personally know a couple of guys from Jazz and AC who went to Jetsgo. And yes they did take a LOA. They were offered either a Special LOA or a layoff. The SLOA allowed them to keep certain benefits with AC. Which would you choose, especially if you had a job to go to??

THere are at least 3-4 guys at Jetsgo that were laid off from Jazz, 2 of them are going back as of April 1st. As well there was 1 that was on a LOA from Jazz. There were at least 5 guys that were laid off from AC. One of them has been recalled and is on course right now. Not sure about the other guys. These are all FACTS, 1st hand info... No BS involved!! Some of you need to check your info before posting.
