Attention: Friends of . . (aka Cat Driver)

Most of AvCanada's long time users will be familiar with our member . ., AKA Cat Driver.

For many of us, . has been more than a faceless voice, but a friend and mentor. Although . seldom posts here anymore, he does lurk, and many of us have remained in contact with him.

Many of you will have met . in person, and in doing so, chances are very good that you also met his beloved wife Pene (Penelope Jesske).

This past spring, Pene fell ill, and a few months later was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. When I spoke to . two weeks ago, Pene had been moved into palliative care and was being kept sedated to keep the pain away.

It is with great sadness that I pass on the news that Pene lost her battle on Friday, October 1st.

At Pene's request, there will be no service. I will post the obituary when it becomes available.
